Recovery of Data from Deleted Partition

A hard disk partition is a logical division of a hard disk into multiple logical storage units called partitions, to treat one physical disk drive as multiple disks. After partitioning, you can have different operating systems on the same hard disk and can create the appearance of having separate hard drives for multiple users, file management, or other purposes. The complete information partitions is stored in a partition table that defines how many partitions the hard disk is formatted into, the size of each, and the address where each partition begins. There are different hard drive manufacturers like kingston, seagate, sony, toshiba, etc to name a few.

Disk partitioning can be done using Windows Disk Management Utility or with the help of any third party tool such as Partition Magic. Sometimes, situations occur when these utilities accidentally deletes a hard drive partition, which may cause huge loss of data which is stored on that particular partition; so you have to use a good deleted hard disk drive recovery software, to retrieve all the data from the deleted partition. Other than the case of deleted partition, here are some cases which can cause data loss from the partitions:

• During a file system conversion on a partition, errors may be encountered corrupting that particular partition; thus leading to crucial data loss.
• Some users want to have multiple operating systems on their hard drives. During the dual or multiple OS installation process, some of the partition information, present in partition table, gets corrupted making the data inaccessible.
• While trying to create new partitions, partition errors may occur which can lead to data loss.
• Virus intrusion on boot sector causes operating system malfunction, due to which OS does not points to the correct location of the partition, making the data inaccessible.

To overcome these partition problems, you need to use a recovery tool to recover data from the partitions. Steps to recover lost or deleted data from deleted partition:

Step 1: Download and install the trial version of Deleted Partition Recovery Software. Select "Recover Partitions / Drives" option from the main screen. Then select "Partition Recovery" to recover lost or deleted partition, as shown in Fig.1

Step 2: Select the physical drive from which the partition needs to be recovered and click "Next". Once scanning process is completed, list of lost or deleted partitions will be displayed, select the appropriate partition and click "Next" as shown in Fig.2

Step 3: Select the file type you want to recover, to perform additional search to recover files, based on unique signature. You may skip this process to continue with scanning. Once the scanning process is completed, the recovered data can be viewed using "File Type View" or "Data View" option, as shown in Fig.3

Step 4: Select the "Preview" option to view recovered data before saving it as shown in Fig.4 and you can use "Save Recovery Session" option to save the scanned information
