  • Windows 7 Partition Recovery Software

Windows 7 is very popular operating system developed by Microsoft Windows. With Windows 7 Starter edition, there are three another editions of Windows 7, they are Home Premium, Ultimate and Professional. Hard disk is the secondery storage device of a computer and it is devided into some parts called partition which are used to store OS, softwares and any other data. Hard drive partitioning makes it easier for you to organize the data logically. If the data or application in one partition is corrupted or accidentally deleted, the data in another partition will not be deleted. Partitioning also makes it easier and quicker to find the files or directories, as it needs to be searched only in one particular partition, not in the whole hard disk.

While creating the new partition, you will be asked whether you want to format the partition and while formatting the new partition, you can change the default file system. NTFS file system is a default file system in Windows 7. If you create FAT or Fat32 file system then you can convert it to NTFS by using the Convert utility or by using the following command in command prompt:
    convert drive letter: /fs:ntfs
For example, types the following command to convert drive F to NTFS: convert f: /fs:ntfs

There is always a chance of losing a partition or damage to the partition on Windows 7 because of the following reasons:

    • Partition corruption may happen because of corruption of boot sector. In this scenario, you will get error messages as follows:
"Searching for Boot Record from CD/DVD.. Not Found"
      Or
"Reboot and Select proper Boot device"
      Or
"Searching for Boot Record from SCSI.. Not Found"
    • Partition Table corruption may also result in partition loss. In this scenario, system may refuses to boot with the following error message:
      "Bad or missing partition table"
      Or
      "Error loading operating system"
    • Windows might stop processing in-between with a blue screen, this is because of INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE, mainly caused by inaccessible partition or by the error in RAID drivers.
